Motive is a small hair studio in downtown Austin, Texas. Every appointment starts with a real conversation about your hair, your routine, what’s working, what isn’t, and what your goals are. From there we work with your texture and personal style to get to the look you want. You will leave with results you wanted, and feel comfortable throughout the visit.

We specialize in layered cuts, shags, natural lived-in shapes, gender affirming and alt- styles. Some of our clients prefer something subtle and low-maintenance, while others want something more alternative or bold. We’re comfortable with both, and everything in between.

We also offer vivid and alternative hair color services - bold placement, high-contrast tones, or an all-over creative look, we’ll talk through what it takes and how it will live on your hair.
